On the occasion of the 100th birthday of the illustrious Panamanian poet, Carlos Francisco Changmarín, an event that will occur next year, the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) and the Foundation with its name signed an agreement of cultural cooperation with a view to developing activities that will promote, promote, strengthen, and promote the enjoyment and contribution of this region.
The collaboration will make it possible to research and promote educational activities, competitions and events that stimulate literary production and that will benefit youth and children throughout the country while at the same time promoting the link of literature as a means of contributing to shaping national identity.
The convention lays down that MiCultura will provide financial support to the Changmarín Foundation with forty and seven thousand and five hundred balboas (B /. 47,50.00), for the development of the schedule of artistic, cultural and social activities to be undertaken at national level for the occasion.
Abril Chan de Méndez, daughter of the writer Carlos Francisco Changmarín expressed satisfaction that MiCultura immediately welcomed this project beyond what was expected and the participation of children and peasants population segment that was highlighted by his father in his various works was expected.
Meanwhile, Minister Aguilar Navarro expressed his satisfaction that the Foundation and the family have taken into account MiCultura for this centuries-old project of the Changmarín nataleum and expressed the support of MiCultura to the project and added that as well as the financial contribution "we will be supporting from other instances and addresses to produce that gala, because figures such as that of Changmarín wished to have a Ministry of Culture."
A number of publications will be published as part of the activities scheduled by the Foundation to celebrate the centennial of the natalicio of the author of the "Letters to Aunt Tula," and will be published with a view to strengthening the Panamanian state.
