Panama, July 23, 2026. The Bolivarian Society of Panama, the State Radio and Television System (SERTV) and the Ministry of Culture have been presenting the book "Bolívar, presente y futuro: Congreso Anifictiónica de Panama, Yual del Bicentennial 1826-2026" and the documentary "Bicentario del Congreso Anifictiónica de Panama 1826-2026" at the City of the Arts.

The commemorative activity brought together representatives of the National Government, diplomatic corps and special guests with a view to considering the significance of Simón Bolívar's thought and his role as a place of continental integration.

The director of SERTV, Dustin Guerra, highlighted his work as "a great production." Meanwhile, the vice-ministers of Multilateral Affairs and Cooperation and president of the Bolivarian Society of Panama, Carlos Guevara Mann, stated that two centuries later, this documentary takes up that historic thread and brings it up to today, with a strict reconstruction of the facts and shows how that Bolivarian vision of an interviewing istle remains alive in today's Panama.

During her intervention, the Minister of Culture, María Eugenia Herrera, stated that the preservation of historic memory constitutes an institutional responsibility to safeguard national identity. He also reviewed the economic and social conditions of the Territory after independence and stated that audiovisual forms a bridge between the past and the future to project the history of the country through the work of local creators.

The publication, as outlined by Dr. Mario pacheco, analyzes the validity of the Bolivarian vision, the impact of the diplomatic meeting held in 1826 and contemporary challenges with respect to cooperation and integration among American nations.

The audiovisual production, performed by Thatiana Pretelt "Espia de Storias," addresses the background, actors and repercussions of the anarchic meeting to offer an historic record aimed at new generations.
