with high participation starts the Writer Training Program 2026

Panama March 7, 2026. The Ministry of Culture launched its Writer Training Program (PROFE) 2026 on March 7, 2026, at the headquarters of the City of the Arts with an extensive participation of people interested in strengthening their literary skills.

The program, to be held up to June 27, has a 64 hour duration and brings together participants of different ages and profiles, who seek to form in different areas of writing and literary creation.

PROFE develops under an face-to-face modality for participants of Panama City, while for those living inside or abroad, the virtual and semi-face modality is offered, enabling the program to have a national and international outreach.

The initiative also promotes inclusive participation by integrating persons with disabilities, who are an active part of training workshops and activities, and reaffirms the commitment of the Ministry of Culture to equitable access to education and artistic training.

Classes are held every Saturday and are organized into two training sessions:
9: 00 a.m. to 1: 00 p.m.,
Stretch Workshop, facilitated by Ela Urriola
Dramaturia Workshop, facilitated by Edgar Soberón.
1: 00 p.m. to 5: 30 p.m.
Creative writing and book editing, facilitated by Mónica Miguel
Study and literary review, facilitated by Rodolfo De Gracia.

The Writer's Training Programme aims at promoting new literary voices, promoting creation and strengthening the cultural development of the country through spaces for learning, exchange and reflection about literature.
