Panama, February 10, 2026. Panama's Minister of Culture, María Eugenia Herrera, met with Yajaira Pitti, Director General of the National Institute of Vocational Training and Training for Human Development (INADEH), to promote an agreement aimed at strengthening skills and skills in the art and technical training related to the creative and artisan industry of the country.

The incumbent of Culture, she explained that this initiative aims to extend training opportunities for artisan and new talents, promoting the teaching of crafts such as seams, masonry, sound, dressmakers, stage and technical work, with the aim of enhancing the integral development of the cultural sector.

Herrera emphasized that the agreement will also contribute to the recovery and improvement of cultural and community spaces by using trained human talent, especially in areas related to the construction and maintenance of cultural infrastructures and libraries.

He also noted that this effort will be interacted with the Latidos del Barrio program and other initiatives of the National Cultures Plan, generating training spaces that will promote the professionalization and employment insertion into the creative industry.

"We seek to open up real opportunities for technical study and specialized training that will allow more Panamanians to integrate into the cultural labour market with better tools and more opportunities for growth," stated Minister Herrera.
