Panama 31 January 2026.- On Saturday night, January 31, Prague's Plaza at the Tables became a meeting place for Panamanian culture and history with the presentation of the historic musical "La Ciudad de Piedra," an activity that forms part of the summer Vibra Panama, organized by the National Directorate of the Arts of the Ministry of Culture and that brought hundreds of people together in a family atmosphere that generated emotion, identity and national pride.

From an early hour, the public began to fill up space, generating a massive concurrence that confirmed the interest and connection of the tablean community with this type of cultural proposals. At the end of the performance, the cast was fired with applause standing, sealed an evening that many described as a magic night to share art, culture and history.

One of the most emotional moments of his presentation was the appearance of President Belisario Porras, a central figure within the narrative of his work. The illustrious son of Las Tablas, his representation awoke a special reaction from the public, who reminded him with profound respect and pride as one of the most influential Panamanian in the construction of his country. His performing presence strengthened his link between national history and the people who saw him born.

The town of Piedra tells about the main events that marked Panama's history, integrating theater, music and dance into a format accessible to public of all ages. The work aims to bring history closer to communities and to generate spaces for cultural meeting in public spaces and squares throughout the country.

The Music is production by the Panamanian company Contraxeñas, with lyrics, script and music by Ricky Ramirez, under the direction of Leonte Bordanea, and choreographies by Carlos Díaz, Melina Samaniego and Eileen "Fula" De Icaza. Also supported by the Mayor's office of Las Tables, that contributed efforts to conduct the event.

With functions such as this, The City of Piedra performs its mission to conduct Panama's history throughout the country, strengthening national identity and celebrating the characters and events that continue to mark the nation's course.
