Panama, November 30, 2025. - With the town turned to the streets, the community of San José de Las Tablas, held the Tambor Festival and the pollera. As a flag of this festival, the Minister of Culture, María Eugenia Herrera, who wore a precious pollera montana, prepared with the technique of marking at the hands of the artisan teacher, Maribel Espinosa, was distinguished.

The parade that closed the 4-day party was represented by hundreds of nightclubs, all handmade by artisan of this community. It's a party with complete families with folkloric motifs and with their tunes competing to be best in order, joy and dances.

Before the parade, the Minister of Culture went through the whole process of creating the costumes that she would wear at the event. First of all she visited the house of the master artisan, designer Javier Vergara, who shown how his customers thought about his paper. Then she visited the house of Mrs. Maribel Espinosa, also a master artisan, who brought his paper designs to his fabric.

No matter what the design, Mrs. Maribel moved "into her eye" every tipple, giving body to every strip that will later be assembled to complete the pollera Santeña. That assembled met with the Minister at the house of the artisan Otilia González, she takes care that every piece perfectly calves in place, so as to complete the creation of one of the most beautiful typical dresses on the planet.

As a special deference, the well-known dubious Ulpiano Vergara gave his house up so that his flag could be dressed with a pollera mount Santeña, a piece that stole his looks and admiration from all those who love this art.

Artisans supported by the Ministry of Culture were present at the intersectional hall during the four days, offering to the public their creations characterized by their virtuous and talented hands. The festival's queen, Eva Natalia González, walked with his face the parade and filled with grace and splendour the last activity of the celebration.

Minister Herrera was accompanied by General Secretary Ivis Moreno and National Director of the Arts Gianni Bianchini and Regional Director of My Culture at Los Santos, Algis Díaz.
