Panama November 24, 2025. Panama's National Symphony Orchestra will be presenting next Wednesday November 26 at the Balboa Theater, at 8: 00 p.m. the concert "Resonances of the Soul," an evening that promise to connect the public with the deepest emotions through a program of great expressive force and musical beauty.

The concert will be directed by guest master Alejandro Gutiérrez, with 68 musicians who will offer a sound tour where nature, celebration and inner struggle converge into a powerful artistic experience.

The evening will open with Utopia, from the Panamanian composer espley Castillo, a work inspired by the jungle of Darién. His music evokes the contrast between the majesty of nature and human suffering passing through that territory, becoming a metaphor of hope, resilience and compassion.

The program continues with the energy of the Oberture The Roman Carnival of Hector Berlioz, a piece that unfolds all the orchestral color of the French composer. His festive rhythms and his contagious impulse will offer a moment of celebration and vitality.

The second part of the concert will be dedicated to one of the top works of the Symphony Repertoire of the 20th Century: Dmitri Stomakovich's Symphony No. 5. Written in 1937 during one of the most tense periods of the Soviet Union, this symphony combines dramatism, introspection and an end to deeply ambiguous "victory." His emotional intensity and his narrative power have turned him into a symbol of the human spirit's struggle against adversity.
