FESTA OF FABORES AND CULTURES FROM THE WORLD TO PANAMA

Panama, October 29, 2025. - The "Festivals Around the World 2025" was launched in a festive atmosphere filled with color and aromas and organized every year by the Caravan Social Assistance Foundation of Diplomatologists and Panamanians with 35 countries.

During the opening, the Minister of Culture, María Eugenia Herrera, commented that every country represented here has an exuberant culinary history that speaks about its history, traditions and ancestral knowledge. And this activity "reminds us that, in essence, all human beings, we are longing for the same: solidarity, well-being and bonds of brotherhood."

Minister Herrera added that "when a nation shares its culture, it's opening its heart to the world. And when the world reunited, as we do at this party, we celebrate diversity and practice the warmest and most human diplomacy that truly binds our peoples. Each dollar raised at this great annual meeting translates into hope, education and well-being for the most vulnerable, demonstrating that cultural diplomacy has a social mission that goes beyond art," she concluded.

The Social Welfare Caravan was born 64 years ago with the vision and initiative of the First Lady of the Republic, Cecilia Orillac of Chiari, as she became aware, during the tours of President Roberto F. Chiari throughout the country, of the needs of the most vulnerable population. Thus, from June 17, 1961, the first lady brought together Panamanian ladies and friends of the diplomatic body to raise funds through this "Festivals around the world," dedicated to social projects.

Following the official opening, Minister Herrera visited the jobs of each participating country, with the president of the Social Assistance Caravan, Claudia Braun Valle and Ambassadors and representatives of the Diplomatic Corps.
