The District of La Pintada, in the province of Coclé, began the evening of 24 October at the XIII National Festival of the Pintao 2025 Hat, an event that pays tribute to one of the most true symbols of Panamanian identity: the pinean hat, recognized by the UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of mankind.

The opening had as its stage the 25 December Park, filled with folklore music, tamborito and murga, amidst the bustling of visitors and the colorful 56 kiosks that exhibit the talent of the painting teachers, true protagonists of this tradition, guardians of a technique that has passed from generation to generation, among fiber, natural dyes and inherited patience.

The opening parade went through the town's streets with a cheerful folklore tune headed by the banners eldis Barnes, National Director of Masiva Titulation accompanied by local authorities, Ina Rodriguez, Mayor of La Pintada and President of the Fest's Board of Trustees, and Dana Castañeda, with her deputy, and with her queen and her beautiful elderates, who danced at the rhythm of the murga that spread to the entire attending public.
The evening paid a well-deserved tribute to Maylin Batista, who culminated his reign leaving a legacy of joy, commitment and love for these traditions.

One of the most awaited moments was the coronation of Lia Itzel Chang, Queen of this thirteenth version, amidst a folklore show that lifted up the roots and creativity of his people.

Representation of the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) was attended by Ivis Moreno, Secretary General and Beatriz Castañet, Director of Legal Advice, who accompanied local authorities at the ceremony.

During his intervention, Ivis Moreno highlighted the community's value and the artisan legacy of La Pintada, "That festival, that celebrates the art transmitted from grandparents to parents, children and grandchildren, is possible thanks to the vision and commitment of a united community, that recognizes its leaders and keeps up with the tradition that represents us before the world."

The Festivals of the Festivals of the Hat Pintano and MiCultura invite both nationals and foreigners to enjoy the three days of activities that includes artisan exhibitions, competitions, traditional ride and the Mil Hat Parades, an expression of the art, identity and pride of the Panamanian people.
