Panama 6 October 2025. The Ibero-American Research Fellowship (IBERESCENA) announces the opening of the second edition of the Research Fellowship Magnely Muguercia for researchers, artists or cultural managers from member countries among them Panama with ongoing projects related to Ibero-American Research Arts.

The call will be open until 5 November 2025 at 12: 00 noon (local time).
The initiative, established in honor of the outstanding Cuban essayist Magaly Muguercia, aims to advance stage research in the Ibero-American Cultural Area.

Two research projects will be selected and will be supported with financial support amounting to EUR 7,500 each and with the specialized accompaniment of an Advisory Committee that will guide its development until its results have been published.

Natural persons with a nationality or legal residence of at least three years may be posted in one of the 18 IBERESCEN member countries with advanced projects, such as a master's or doctoral thesis or applied research (case studies, mapping, inventories or other). The proposals should cover a comparative approach between at least two member countries.

The postulations will be performed exclusively through the https: / / iberescia.org / fellowship / research platform under "My Grant Requests," where the forms will have to be completed and the required Spanish document attached.

Research will be evaluated by a Committee of Ibero-American Academic arts specialists and the final decision will be published at the regular meeting of the Iberescenna Intergovernmental Council, scheduled from March to April 2026. The results will be published on the program's website and social networks.
