Panama City, September 11, 2025. - The Pedro Correa Vásquez 2025 Literary Prize was awarded to the writer Samaris Elizabeth Serrano Guerra, who under the pseudonym Elena T. introduced the work "Voices in global times," in the category of literary criticism.

The decision was made public after the deliberation of the Jury formed by Danae Brugiati, Rodolfo de Gracia and Irina N. de Ardil.The winning work was outstanding for showing maturity in the critical and essayist profession with original and pertinent ideas about how to do Latin American, Panamanian and global literature.

According to the Jury, Serrano Guerra manages to articulate a holistic vision of literature as a tool of thought and creative reflection, supported by a solid critical apparatus and an up-to-date bibliographic review.
The jury also recognized the value of the play "To conduct you whole," presented with the pseudonym Cheretele.
The decision recommends to the Ministry of Culture its future publication as a result of its essayist quality and its contribution to the teaching of literature.
