Panama, June 12, 2025. - Until July 3, the call will be open for the fourth edition of the Workshop of Creative Production for Cinema Projects from Central America and the Caribbean, TPC Panama 2025, a training space focused on the creative production of first and second films of fiction, documentary and hybrids from the region, at an early stage of development.

The call of the TPC 2025 is open to filmmakers from Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Venezuela. "In Central America and the Caribbean, production is still thought of as a role limited to the executive, administrative and co-ordinating tasks of a film set," explain María Neyla Santamaria, a creative production of the documentary film "Son of Tiger and Mule), and Jairo Ramos, a creative and Zionist of the age sports biopic" I'm told by El Panzer.

That's why, through TPC Panama, both producers have been planning to create a platform to change this paradigm and form a new generation of producers in the region, a space through which knowledge, experiences and tools are shared so that participants can learn how to positively impact every stage of their projects, from the idea to the final cut of the film.

The educational program of the workshop does not only focus on analysis, diagnosis and personal advice of the projects selected. It also aims to have a holistic impact on the participants by understanding that the success or failure of the projects goes through the professional, creative and, above all, human link of the creative duples of the projects.

That year, Panama's TPC 2025 will be held from July 28 to August 3 and the projects and dupples selected will be accompanied by filmmakers Cristina Gallejo (The Snake's Hugs, Summer Bird), Sasha Carbonell (It's all started at the end), Lucía Carreras (Tamara and the catarina, The Whole Silence) and Gabriela Sandoval (The Adriana Compact, perhaps it's true what they say about us).

To them goes the Mexican Arturo Pérez Navarro, co-founder of the sales and distribution agency Vendo Cine and currently industry director of Ibero-American Film Festival Miami. Pérez Navarro will teach a master's class about new models of independent distribution in the region.

"We are also planning to implement a networking space this year that will provide workshop participants with an initial approach with the local film industry, so that they can forge potential alliances and, why not, future co-production," Jairo Ramos adds. "One of the pillars of TPC is to create synergies between workshop participants and Central American and Caribbean cinema."

Since its first edition, TPC Panama has accompanied the development of more than 30 film projects in the region, several of them have been awarded national and international financing.
