The Ministry of Culture warmly welcomed the visit of the Ambassador of the Republic of El Salvador to Panama, Zoraida Pineda and Carlos Marroquín, who made a tour of Ciudad de las Artes (CDLA) with his work team.

During his visit, the Salvadoran authorities had an opportunity to get to know closely about the training work being undertaken at the CDLA as part of the actions of the Ministry of Culture to strengthen access to culture, social inclusion and integral development through the arts.

The tour included a sample of artistic training activities with children, youth and adults from different communities as well as a presentation about the centre's mission and aims.

That visit strengthens the links of cooperation between Panama and El Salvador and offers new opportunities for an exchange of experiences with cultural policies that promote social cohesion, citizen participation and community empowerment.

The Ministry of Culture deeply appreciates the interest of the Salvadoran authorities in familiarize with the models of cultural management that Panama promotes and reaffirms its commitment to continue to promote initiatives that promote the role of culture in social transformation.
