For the second consecutive year, the National Theater brought together more than 30 artists from music and theater at the event "These great songs from the Music Theater," a production that forms part of projects supported by the Ministry of Culture to boost the creative economy and Panamanian talent.

During the event, the Minister of Culture, Maruja Herrera, gave a plaque of recognition to Rafael Navarro for his impeccable artistic trajectory and his dedicated to performing theatrical stage. With more than 40 years of work, Navarro has been a key figure in the value of the Panamanian theater.

"I'm at the service of art and theater. That's my life and my passion," Navarro expressed, visibly excited to be paid tribute.

The Minister also expressed his gratitude to the cast and the organizers for their commitment and innovation, and emphasized their significant contribution to the development of music theater in the country.

Jossie Jiménez, artistic director of the show, welcomed the project's growth in this edition.

"This year, the project has grown significantly. We have the participation of 15 singers, 14 dancers and a talented band of 6 musicians under the leadership of master Luis Quintana.

We have also increased to two roles, strengthening this experience as a meeting place for artists and public, "Jiménez emphasized.

The show, with a duration of two hours, offered a repertoire that combined music and dance through eight great choreographic numbers.

The stage was with the participation of dedicated artists such as Nilena Zisipulos, Lissette Condassin, Cristina De La Fuente, Odette Versailles and Vicky González.

The inclusion of young talents such as Lucas Pereira and Daniela Serrano and a group of singers who are conquering the local scene step by step: Ida Obediente, Marie Claire Marine, Edu Simmons, Juan Diego Araúz, José Berastegui, Meli Moreno, Ana Belén Croston, Genesis Padilla and Carlos Jaén were also highlighted.

"These great songs of musical theater" became a high level artistic event and reaffirmed the commitment of the Ministry of Culture to the promotion of national art and talent.
