The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) trained officials about the Compliance and Anti-Bribery Management System from an organizational governance perspective and was led by Master Miller Romero.

The activity was attended by Arianne Benedetti, Deputy Minister of Culture and Ivis Moreno, Secretary General and the directors of the Ministry of Culture and Ricardo Tack, Director of the Office of Institutional Development and other directors and officials of the institution.

Arianne Benedetti, Vice-Minister of Culture, thanked the Director of the Office of Institutional Development, Ricardo Tack, for his work with his team and for sharing information with all those present. "I believe that we have been clear about the process. That's a system that will take time to implement, but it's vital to understand and adapt to it. It will be necessary to continue with training to achieve our goals," she emphasized.

The Ministry of Culture has initiated an important project for the institution and for the country with the implementation of the Compliance and Anti-Bribery Management System, a firm step towards transparency, integrity and excellence in public management.

The relevance of this plan lies with its capacity to strengthen public confidence in our institutions. In a context where corruption and bad practices weaken development and social well-being, proactive measures to prevent and combat these challenges are imperative.

The implementation of an anti-bribe and compliance management system will allow compliance with international standards and place the Ministry of Culture as a best practice reference in the region. It will be the first institution of the Panamanian state to obtain this certification at national level and also at Latin American level.

The impact of this project will be profound and lasting. By training our key personnel, we give them vital tools to identify and mitigate risks while promoting an organizational culture based on ethics and responsibility.
