The National Symphony Orchestra closes its regular season with more than 35 free concerts

Last December 5, at the Balboa Theater, the National Symphony Orchestra (OSN) concluded its regular concert season with a memorable presentation with the participation of master Ernesto Calderon, director of the University of San Carlos, Guatemala.

During 2024, the OSN offered 35 free concerts at different locations such as churches, parks and theatres with the participation of renowned international musicians, including María Antonia González (Mexico), Raúl Miguel (Spain), Nell Flanders (United States), Darwin Aquino (Dominican Republic) and Ernesto Calderon (Guatemala).

Master Calderon expressed that working with the OSN has been "a very enriching experience of mutual learning," and emphasized the quality and professionalism of the grouping.

The program included masterpieces such as the Oberture of The Fate Force of Giuseppe Verdi and the Concert for Oboe and Violin at Do minor, BWV 1060 by Johann Sebastian Bach, performed by leading soloists Gerardo Roa Vivas (violin) and Leopold Plummer (oboe).

The season closed this 2024 with a series of Christmas concerts that will start next December 10.

The Repertoire will include classic Christmas songs and iconic films such as Frozen, The polar Expresso and Miracle at 34th Street.
