MiCultura and First Lady's Office feature "Giselle": a world class and Benefic works show

The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) and the First Lady's Office have the honour to introduce the National Ballet of Panama at an impressive stage of the classic "Giselle," to be held in four special roles at the iconic National Theater from October 23 to 26.
Considered as one of the jewels of the classical ballet's world repertoire, "Giselle" fixes masterfully technical and dramatic performance, narrating the powerful love and loyalty story of a peasant who falls in love with a prince. With dressmakers prepared by the talented team of the National Ballet of Panama and a dazzling stage, the public will be immersed with this emotional plot.
The roles of October 23 and 24 will be especially memorable as they will have the participation of an acclaimed Ballet dancer from Houston, Gian Carlo Pérez, and of the Minister of Culture and First Baller, Maruja Herrera, who has donated his talent to raise funds for the Association for Charities (AOPB), chaired by First Lady Maricel Cohen from Mulino. These funds will be used for the purchase of technical equipment essential for the Oncological Institute, vital for patients undergoing cancer treatment.
During this season's opening event, First Lady of the Republic, Maricel Cohen de Mulino, gave words of welcome: "That event doesn't only celebrate the beauty of ballet but also becomes a powerful platform for solidarity and support to those who need it most. Some of the funds raised will contribute to improving the lives of patients with cancer," she said.
The First Lady used this opportunity to congratulate the Minister of Culture, Maruja Herrera, for her tirelessly dedicated to art and culture and thanked all those attending them for their commitment to this noble cause.
The performances of 25 and 26 October will feature the outstanding participation of the first figure Ana Lorena Boyd, leading soloists Satoko Konishi and Melissa Gaona, and leading dancers Edgar Santamaria and Yahir Castro. Also, we will have the special participation of Naazir Muhammad from Houston Ballet, with a cast of more than 60 talented dancers. Tickets for these functions are available through Panaticks.
