"No Touch" interactive exposure that awakes your senses

With works of the arts, the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura), in partnership with the Ornance light and Bath & Body Works, join to commemorate the "White Baston Day," with the opening of the "No Touch" Exhibition, open until October 23 at the City of The Arts, Margot Fonteyn Building.
That exhibition recognizes the talent and creativity of eight Panamanian artists as they are: José Blas Petit, Juan Rodriguez, Luis Alberto Rudas, Daniel Cubilla, Nilka Batista, Melania Rodriguez, Leslie O'neill and Mónica Pérez, who found inspiration from the flavors of products of the renowned international brand Bath and Body Works
The exhibition includes technical sheets in braille and QR code with audio description that allow people with low vision or with low vision to fully enjoy the works.
The painters have merged aromas with conventional materials to create pieces that are not only seen but also felt and enjoyed through smell. Each work, with its textures and odors, evokes spots, stories and cultural manifestations, offering a unique multidimensional experience.
Veronica Arosemena, director of International Technical Cooperation emphasized "that this exhibition is an effort as a testimony to the transformative power of art and its ability to unite, enrich and join us actively in promoting cultural accessibility."
"That sign, it's a door to the discovery of new forms of feeling the outside world, through the senses, that aims to create public awareness about the right to equal opportunities and to show that art and other more activities have to be inclusive," she added.
For his part, Lastenia González, Director of Equal Opportunities and Gender mentioned that "it's important to support and strengthen activities as they are, it's not just about the work of the Ministry of Culture, it's about everyone and all"
"That will be a wonderful experience through the senses, today we start with this, but I believe that, from the Office of Equal Opportunities of the Ministry of Culture, we are focusing on strengthening cultural accessibility."
