The Panama Youth Orchestra and Chorus Network, a program established by the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura), trained about 250 children and adults, aged 10 to 24, during their recess at orchestras and gangs music workshops in the City of the Arts.

The classes were held as part of the "National Reunion of La Red" and were taught by leading national and international teachers. For a week, participants received training in a variety of instruments, including violin, trumpet, saxophone, viola, flute, oboe, picolus, percussion and clarinet, thus covering all families of instruments used in symphony gangs and orchestras.

Oldemar Ibarra, a student of the Bocas del Toro module, remarked: "I liked the workshop and get to know the City of the Arts. I have learned new techniques and enjoyed meeting new people united by the same feeling: love for music." For his part, Christopher Mendieta of the San Miguelito module added: "I have acquired skills and new knowledge that enrich my training."

The Meeting culminated with a successful concert at the Stations of the City of the Arts, where participants exhibited their talent and everything learned during the workshops. At this event, the Minister of Culture, María Eugenia Herrera, thanked parents for their support and encouraged them to stay united in this great project, which has affected the lives of more than 8,000 children, youth and adults at the national level.

The closing concert was attended by three guest directors: Joshua Dos Santos, associate director of the Simón Bolívar Chamber Orchestra, Shimas Rodriguez, director of the Republican Band of Panama and José Berdiales, professor of tuba and euphonium at the National Institute of Music. Also, members of the Young National Orchestra of Spain joined.
