Persons with disabilities participate actively at the International Book Fair, at MiCultura's pavilion, during fair days, with different activities with accessible reading including talks with the support of Ornance's Ornance, IHE and Association. The program "Expresas Te Arte * and writers with sale of books.

For this version, MiCultura's National Office of Equal Opportunities has been organizing a varied program that includes audio-book stories, Braille reading, visual gynamental communication and mirror drawing, among others.

Lastenia González, Director of Equal Opportunities at MiCultura, expressed that "this space aims to recognize the artistic and cultural achievements of people with disabilities and to enhance them professionally to facilitate their incorporation into a productive cultural life."

"Accessibility to reading is the right we have all to understand, to communicate with us, to use things or to move without barriers. It's to adapt reading to each of the needs we can observe in people," González added.

Fany Wong, Eva Morales and Elodia Muñoz. Keyra de Gracia, Marita Salamin and Aisha Castillero are some of the writers with disabilities who participate from 9: 00 a.m. to 9: 00 p.m. at the MiCultura stand, while the workshops of Readings without Barriers will be held from 12: 00 m.d. to 2: 00 p.m.
