Thirty-three pre-Columbian pieces from Gran Coclé and Gran Chiriquí were repatriated from Los Angeles and from Italy by the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) with the support of the Cultural Diplomacy leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

They are 32 pieces of ceramics, tipples of arrows made from stone and gold ornaments, among them with an estimated date about 750 A.M. from Gran Coclé and a ceramic vessel with an estimated period between a thousand and 1,200 A.D. and from Gran Chiriquí.

The number of these pieces has been as high as 378 and have been repatriated by the Ministry of Culture during this period under the administration of Minister Giselle González Villarrué.

The Ministry will continue with actions to recover more pieces that are abroad, because "with this we continue the joint work we are doing as a team with the Chancellery and with the Heritage Team to get back our story" stated the incumbent of Culture.

The pieces were invented in the presence of directors of Cultural Heritage of MiCultura as Linette Montenegro, Rosemarie García and an analyst from the department of Cultural Diplomacy of the Chancellery, Grace Cano.

These pieces and those previously repatriated will be exhibited in the future at Reina Torres de Araúz Anthropological Museum as soon as the recovery of this installation at Plaza Junto de Mayo will be completed.
