In a musical tribute to talented artists, El Salvador celebrated the International Women's Day with Electra Castillo as his guest teacher, director of the Network of Orchestra and Youth Choirs of Panama, who represented the country at the concert "Ecos de Mujeres, una Tributo musicas," at the Salvadoran National Theater

For the second consecutive year, Castillo responded to his invitation to conduct his first concert with his 60 members of the Symphony Orchestra of El Salvador.

"My contribution as a musician is to leave an open channel for many Panamanian people, crossing boundaries, not only to conduct but to play in an orchestra and bring knowledge to the system," Castillo said.

Mariem Pleitez, Minister of Culture of Salvador, thanked Castillo for "sharing his talent and delight us at this tribute, which is a tribute to the creativity, passion and dedication of women in the musical and artistic sphere."

The concert performed pieces by great composers from countries such as Mexico, El Salvador, Japan, Uruguay and the United States.

On Friday March 15th, Castillo will have a conversation with young musicians from the Orquestas del Salvador system, concluding his visit with another concert at the Teatro Nacional de Santa Ana, in El Salvador.
