< strong > They coordinate actions for the celebration of Holy Week 2024 at Casco Antiguo < / strong >

To have national and foreign visitors have a great cultural and religious experience during the 2024 Holy Week, at the Casco Antiguo, the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) through the Office of the Casco Antiguo (OCA), began discussions with members of the organizing committee of this holiday and representatives of the National Police, Tourism Police, Fire and Institutional Protection System (SPI), with a view to drawing up a Roadmap that will guarantee the safety and enjoyment of the visitors of this historic centre during this festival.

Ricardo Gago and Roberto Rollón, members of the organizing committee of this celebration by the Catholic Church, illustrated to the representatives of the stations about the routes, schedule of events, practices and program among others, with a view to coordinating actions to achieve an international activity of projection and product focused on cultural religious tourism.

One of the points to highlight this year is the great artisan and artistic work that lies behind this party, which goes from the production of the promenade paths, the place of the flowers, the decoration of the altars, the gastronomy, the techniques and knowledge for the costume, the music of worship, musicians, florist and the whole ecosystem that makes Holy Week an event of cultural diversity, social cohesion that strengthens the diversity of the different regions of the country and emphasizes the culture, identity and regional heritage.

"In addition to visualizing the artistic synergy with the commemoration of the Special Week, the goal is to support this demonstration as part of that family tradition, not only as a religious but also as a cultural legacy that converts this celebration as one of the elements of an immaterial cultural heritage," stated Yessenia Sánchez, Director of the Casco Antiguo Office.

That year, visitors who participate in the processions will be able to appreciate two new paths, including "La Borriquita" and "Estados pobre," as well as those that have been expected and that inspire great devotion among parishioners, "Estados Imando," "Estados Retizo," "Virgen de la Gloria," among others.

It was also stated that the resurrection Sunday will be dedicated to children with a special procession for them, with the participation of most children from the San Felipe correction.

It should be noted that the program will start on Friday March 22 with the Friday of pain, that's the meeting of Jesus crucified with the Virgin of Dolores, from 7: 00 p.m. and will end on Sunday March 31 that commemorates the Resurrection of Jesus.
