A City of The Arts accessible to all

The Vice Minister of Culture, Gabriel González, led a guided tour of the City of the Arts with participation of persons with disabilities with a view to familiarize them with spaces designed for better accessibility and conduct within the facilities.

Representatives of Ampapem (Association of Family Friends and People with Schizophrenia and Other Mental Diseases), Caspan (Ann Sulivan Center), Apales (Panamanian Academy of Sign Language), Cristina Fraternity of Persons with Disabilities (Frater), Ornament of the Blind, CSS, The I Capaz Foundation, The Ministry of President, The We Are Project and the Centinela Foundation, among others enjoyed the facilities and were pleased with the experience they had been living.

The visitors visited the halls of plastic arts, music, dance and theater as well as the library area, auditoriums, amphitheater and other common spaces, and noted the previous consultations that were put forward during the construction of the project and that they were thought to put them into operation.

During his visit, his group visited the The Blind Exhibition, located at the Plastic Arts Building, Alfredo Sinclair, and will stay till the end of January and then start his journey to other provinces.

The show "Coming into Matter" a collective of sculptures that brings together the works of 13 artists from different generations was another of the exhibitions they saw.

The guests expressed their appreciation for the initiatives and inclusion in the activities currently being undertaken by the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) and contributing to an awareness of opportunities for persons with disabilities.
