Twenty-one years with opportunities and music growth

One of the most awaited musical and cultural events in the country began, we referred to the Panama Jazz Festival that this year reached its 21st version and pays tribute to the figure of colonist Billy Cobham, considered one of the best ten drummers in the world.

To conduct this event of an international character, public and private partners are united as is the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) that once again through this festival, will make a commitment to transform lives through music and to contribute to the growth and development of talents of children and youth.

"Each year we wait for January to participate in this successful festival, which serves a goal, a legacy, a vision to transform through music," said Giselle González Villarrué, Minister of Culture.
"I reiterate from the Ministry of Culture our unconditional support and we urge them to enjoy this wonderful festival," she supported, the head of the cultural portfolio.

For his part, Billy Cobham, who was a participant of the press conference, expressed his satisfaction with his tribute while sharing his experiences with how he emigrated from Panama at his age 3, returning about 40 years later to meet his homeland and enjoy his attractions.

Meanwhile, Danilo Pérez, creator and executive producer of the festival expressed that "this is a family project, in which the country has a space where I can dream and have the experience of feeling the magic of music and I reiterate my gratitude to the sponsors of this project."
