< strong > MiCultura Highlights work by Folklorist and Teacher Norman Sánchez < / strong >

In the company of Mami Chacón de La Chorro Folk Danzas, the realms 2023, Erica González, from the National Peat Festival of Ocú, Paola Jaramillo, Festizo Nacional del Hat Pinta, or Viviana Córdoba, Festizo Nacional de la Caña de Azúcar de Aguadulce, and by Norman Sánchez, a teacher and Folklorist "guardian of the 2022 Folklore," the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) had a remarkable and cheerful participation at the Mil Polleras 2024 Parades.

The MiCultura delegation saw a diversity of pollages representing different regions of the country as an anarcher and a gala coquito, among others, while they were deployed with a donaire to the rhythm of traditional music by the Roots Coclesan grouping of Professor Tomás Arturo Molina.

Norman Sánchez expressed his great pleasure at his distinction as a banners from the MiCultura delegation, as his recognition of the work and efforts of people dedicated to keeping their peoples's memory alive through folklore.

Sanchez comes from a family that have been dedicated to growing the art of production of pollera in all its expressions, and his knowledge has been conveyed with the conviction that the inheritance and legacy of production of pollera will continue.

In addition to joining the parade with drums and dances, MiCultura had a great artisan space, in the gardens of the governorate of Los Santos, where about 50 artisans from different regions of the country exhibited articles such as hats, jewelry, textiles, cuttings and other products made with recyclable and seawater material, among other curious things that were at the best of the thousands of visitors who went to the event.

Also, his deputy Minister of Culture, Gabriel González emphasized that "this path is an opportunity for more information about Panama and its culture and about the creativity of entrepreneurs and artisans and about their art and especially about how best to observe the quality and variety of crafts they offer, and we will continue to support them from MiCultura."
