< strong > More than 150 older adults get hold of the art and culture path < / strong >

The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura), in partnership with the Ministry of Social Development (Mides), closed by 2023 the program Ruta del Arte y la Cultura intended for older adults with a Christmas concert at the Training Center Mi Segundo Juventud del regrestimiento de las Mañanitas.

With this program with a duration of 6 months, more than 150 older adults from the Corridors of Betania, Rio Abajo, Calidonia, Parque Lefevre, Ancón, Juan Díaz, Ernesto Campos Córdoba and Las Mañanitas have been benefiting from activities in museums, galleries, theatres, workshops and other activities with the aim that this sector of the population remains far more time, active within society, with art as a tool.

It was 40 participants from the Mañanites sector who enjoyed the Party Brass Quadro concert, who delight them with pieces such as Night of Peace, We wish you to Merry Christmas, Amazing Grace, Danny Boy, Silent Night, closing with Pa's Panamanian people.

According to Luzo María Frías, a reading promoter at the MiCultura Cultural Rights and Citizenship and program coordinator, she stated that "next year we are expected to continue to develop the project, with the same goal of developing policies to care for older people and especially more communities."

The selection of older people who participated in these activities was supported by the communal boards of the above-mentioned sectors, who contributed with the relocation and organization to carry out this interesting project.
