< strong > with MiCultura workshops promotes the cultural participation of all peoples < / strong >

The HIAS Foundation, a global humanitarian organization with the support of the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura), with manufacturing workshops aimed at children and youth and adults, conducted the program "Creative Hands" at Andres Bello Park with a view to integrating them into communities and promoting peaceful co-existence among refugees in Panama.

More than 20 refugees from countries such as Colombia, Venezuela and Nicaragua have been involved with this activity, with promoters of the national leadership of Cultural Rights at MiCultura, and they have been teaching how to manufacture different crafts with a theme of civic parties.

With this type of MiCultura activity contributes to the community, integrating the refugee to familiarize his or her culture and Panamanian traditions while at the same time providing them with that space of right to cultural participation that all peoples have.

María Mercedes Valderrama, a Colombian citizen, said that "I love this kind of activity very much. It amuses me to do manufacturing and helps me to get rid of everyday problems."
