The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) participated in the launch of the 17th version of the Old Age's Flodal Games, which is organized every two years by the Social Security Fund and that will be held from 22 to 24 February 2024 at the Domo of the University of Panama, located in the sector of the Llanes of Curundú.
Enrique Noel, National Director of Cultural Rights and Citizenship at MiCultura stated that "this event emphasizes the importance of the cultural rights of older people."
The First Age Solar Games are intended to promote older adults to conduct activities that keep their body and mind active and healthy in a good environment and surrounded by people who share some disciplines.
Miguel Ortega, president of the National Federation of Old Age Associations of the Republic of Panama, stated that "we have to prove that after retirement old people have been put to retirement they still have the will and spirit that we are still alive."
The participation of 200 older persons at the national level from Federation and in the activities, which are divided into sports and culture, is planned.
The cultural part will be made up of folkloric dances, of old, songs and tenths, drawing and painting, photography and literature, among others.
The 2023 Floors Games will be attended by delegations from the regions of Panama Metro, East, West, Colón, San Miguelito, Chiriquí and Bocas del Toro. That 2023 Floors Games turn 30 years old to be held in Panama.
