The Minister of Culture, (MiCultura), Giselle González Villarrué participated at the session of the Credentials Commission of the National Assembly on Tuesday and confirmed the appointment of the directors of the State Service of Television (SERTV).
At the sitting, the Commission's members adopted the resolution by recommending to the plenary of the National Assembly to ratify Catalina Graciela Sanmartin and José Ángel Carrillo as General Director and Assistant General Director of SERTV, respectively.
The members of the Commission's president, Raúl Pineda, expressed an interest in knowing the plans of the newly ratified to get SERTV to play his role as a state medium.
At the close, the confirmed director and his deputy director committed themselves to work so that the environment will serve as an educational channel for all social sectors of the country.
