< strong > COORDINAN ACTIONS TO IMPOSE PROJECTS FINANCED BY BID < / strong >

The Minister of Culture, Giselle González Villarrué met with Tatiana Gallego Lizón, head of the Housing and Urban Development Division of the Inter-American Development Bank (BID) and his task force with a view to recognizing the status and development of projects that have been financed by this international body.

Galician expressed his interest in teamwork and explained that "this ministry is a great ally and we have worked together in the last five years and the truth, there's great potential for all the work we have been performing so far and that come to the future."

For his part, Jesús Navarrete, specialist, leader of the housing and urban development sector of the BID, noted that "we are here to coordinate actions that promote and guarantee the sustainability of projects we are financing, to get to know the priority areas, to seek to offer our support and, above all, to know what challenges we have to achieve the goals of the program we have as a whole."

The meeting addressed issues such as the status of The Transseismic Colonial Roads, the second phase of San Lorenzo Castle, the challenges of family settlements living in the Portobelo District, the fortifications of San Jerónimo and San Fernando and progress with the restoration process of Reina Torres Araúz Museum, among others.

It is important to note that the representative of BID leads agendas related to urban renewal, housing, heritage, urban adaptation and biodiversity, metropolitan governance and integrated planning models.
