The Board of Trustees of the pollera Festival congo and the Portobelo devils that Mayor Carlos Chavarría presides met with Giselle González Villarrué and the manager of the Tourism Authority, Denisse Guillen, both members of the board to coordinate details of the next meeting to be held on April 13, 2024.
Chavarría explained that during this festival they have been invited to participate, not only to those from Portobelo but to all communities that have the tradition of congo culture and are also inviting state institutions to participate.
The meeting established continuous support from the Ministry of Culture to promote festivals that are aimed at conserving and disseminating the culture and traditions and customs of different '+ geographical areas of the country.
