About 60 5th and 6th graders of Casco Antiguo's primary schools were invited by the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) to get to know more about the lives of one of the most important artistic geniuses in art history at the Da'Vinci Il Genio exhibition at the Ork's Corner at the Albbrook Mall Shopping Center.
Students from Simón Bolívar schools, the United States of America, the Republic of Mexico and Manuel José Hurtado were fascinated with the impressive replicas of the most iconic paintings of the Italian artist, his inventions and especially "La Mona Lisa" and "La última dina."
The children began their journey in a first room with care for a hologram by Leonardo da Vinci, who told them who she was, the period in which she lived known as the Renaissance, his fascination with arts and science and then continued with his some of his paintings as the Virgin of the Rocks, Adoration of the Mages, Madonas Lita and Benois, Geneva of Benci, the Lady of the Ermite and an autoportrait.
They could also be surprised by the pieces of some of the objects of war and flying machines designed by the great genius Da Vinci as well as to enjoy a multidimensional experience through visors that makes them enjoy a fun experience with parachute and flying objects.
The schoolchildren also moved into a great space, where through gigantic screens they were able to observe in a kind of virtual reality the Man of Vitruvio, Mona Lisa, the war machinery and other images they saw in earlier rooms.
To conclude his visit, they were brought to a real-size copy of another of his masterpieces "La última dinner," praised for his design and that they reaffirmed his role as a plastic artist, with some of his small visitors recognizing his place at home or his grandmothers's.
The Minister of Culture, Giselle González Villarrué joined with the students to enjoy this wonderful experience that has been throughout several countries of the Americas and that honors one of the most outstanding characters in the history of universal art.
The interested public will be able to visit this exhibition until 1 October from Monday to Saturday from 10: 00 a.m. to 7: 40 p.m. and from 11: 00 a.m. to 6: 40 p.m. on Sundays and buy tickets through tickets.
