< strong > Third Artisanal and Folk Festival of Chitre's Sand < / strong >

Giselle González Villarrué, Minister of Culture, received representatives from the Civil and Folk Festival of La Arena de Chitre, with a view to coordinating the participation of the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) in the conduct of the third festival to be held from March 13 to 17, 2024, at the Corridment of La Arena, Chitre District, Herrera Province.

At the meeting the organizers thanked the Minister for her reception and to be able to put forward his request while at the same time they extended an invitation to be banded at the festival's opening next year.

Julio Gómez Quintero, president of the Festival expressed to the Minister, González Villarrué that "support by the National Government, is very important for the conduct of the third version of this festival, as it's a display where artisan are given an opportunity to explain their products and to make known what represents us as aeneros."

For his part Juan Miguel García, vice president of the artisan festival thanked the Minister for his attention and commented "when an official can listen there are opportunities, thank you for giving us an opportunity to get to this office, that's everyone's place."

The meeting was attended by Esther Pérez, national director of MiCultura's crafts and members of the board.

The festival will feature a parade of carts, typical, cultural and dance events, murga and tuna, among other activities prepared for the delight of attendees and visiting public.
