< strong > Five decades of Panamanian theater exposed in < / strong > images

To pay tribute to the protagonists from the 1940s to the 1990s who have been instrumental in shaping the history and legacy of the Panamanian theater, the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura), as part of the Panama Theater Festival, opened his photo exhibition "Panameño Theater, its protagonists, history and life," and can be visited at the Balboa Theater until September 30.

Dania Clarissa Nuñez Arancibia, manager, producer and executive director of this initiative, explained "The same aims to highlight the work of each of the actors that have formed the history of this discipline of the arts and inheritance as characters, characteristics and works that have left us and especially to pay a posthumous tribute to those who aren't with us physically, but they have left a job that we are currently seeing and it's a fruit that we are enjoying."

The exhibition includes actors as Áurea "Baby" Torrijos and José Carranza representing the 1950s, Dora Mckay and Blanquita Casanova who are no longer physically but are part of the 1960s, Ceila González and Juan Manuel Ferrer from the 1970s, Enrique Olivella and Clotilde Luna framed in 1980, and in 1990 we can place Agustín Clement and Dayra Torres, among others that are part of more than 50 actors that are part of this gallery that invites us to tour the history of the Panamanian theater.

With this sample we wish to approach the spectator and tell the spectator through these photographs "love, passion, that each actor gave, recalling each of these characters and their surrender," added Nuñez Arancibia, who also is an actress and defines herself as a love of this artistic discipline, which describes as a way to heal and save lives.

According to the production company, "the idea of this project is that all people who are part of the theater and those who aren't in it will have to see how valuable they have to Panamanian history and that they have to get to know them as well as being a way to get the public closer to Panamanian theater."

In addition to this activity, the Teatro Festival that began on September 11, will conduct dramatised readings, different put into stage, workshops, dramatizations and so forth at stage such as the Anita Villalaz Theater and Balboa Theater and in some provinces such as Colón and Chiriquí.

This version of the festival includes international guests such as the performing arts company pia Fraus, who will first appear in Panama and Chiriquí with the staging of "Bichos Do Brasil," as well as the participation of important Latin American narrators, united in a great Oral Sea Narration of Tales as part of the closure of this festival.
