< strong > Melodies of the "cornus" will embellish the Balboa Theater < / strong >

On Wednesday August 30, viewers dating at the Balboa Theater from 8: 00 p.m. will have an opportunity to listen for the first time to the sound of the Alpine horn, to be performed by Spanish Samuel Pérez Llobell, as part of the 2023 National Symphony Orchestra's (OSN) concert program, which the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) organizes monthly.
That interesting free concert will be a Cornos Festival, where you will also be participating as a soloist Gustavo Vega, a Cornist of the OSN and that with Pérez Llobell and German Pinzzo as guest director, will give an evening with pieces from Brahms, Mozart and Glière among others.
The Alpine horn was said to have been touched by the shepherds of The Alps and was used by cattle growers or hunters more to issue signs that could be heard at great distances on the high mountain than to make music.
About the Factors
German Pinzzo (guest director)
He was born in Santiago de Veraguas. He has a Technology in Music with an Instrument / Classic Guitar Orientation and a Master's degree in Music with an emphasis on Orchestra Direction. He currently serves as General Coordinator of the Music Module in Santiago de Veraguas, from Panama's National Network of Orchestra and Youth Choirs.
He's also founder and director of the Youth Polyphonic Chorus of Santiago and his 10th birthday this 2023. He's an active member of the Association of Pianists of Panama and of the Guitarist Forum of Panama and as Cantauthor, in 2022, his first EP at Digital Platforms under the title "Guitar Testament."
Gustavo Vega (French Corno)
He was born in Panama. He has been a master of Fine Arts and a second-degree teacher with a specialist in Music and a specialist in higher education. He has been travelling to Guatemala every year to organize his musical gangs with his program of All Ready Now and with his Latin American Institute Gospel.
Samuel Pérez Llobell (Corno Alpino)
He was born in El Puig de Santa María (Valencia), Spain. He has been a teacher at the Conservatoriums of Lalín (Pontevedra), Santiago de Compostela and La Coruña, and Vigo, among others. He currently is a founding member of the Quintet de Vento Pentaphonia with his concerts both inside and outside Spanish geography.
