< strong > MSA OFFICE TO RECOVER FOURTH ANIVERSARY OF THE MINISTERY OF CULTURE < / strong >

A mass of thanksgiving was officiatedby the parish priest Fray Javier Mañas, of the Church la Merced, of the Casco Antiguo at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) as part of the activities to celebrate the fourth anniversary of the creation of the cultural entity.

In his central message, the parish priest Fray Mañas emphasized that in these four years "we have each been sharing with God and that despite the circumstances we are not alone."

The Minister of Culture, Giselle González Villarrué, thanked the MiCultura's team for his accompaniment in these years of management and emphasized that "we do not lose our intention to come to this ministry, to work to build a better country through culture."

"Since its creation, the Ministry of Culture has been an impetus for diversity, creativity and national identity, supporting Panamanian artists, managers and creators in their projects and activities," added González Villarrué.

The violinist Melanie Taylor and the children of the chorus at the Nuestra Señora de La Merced School at El Chorrillo have been represented at this religious celebration and have been performing beautiful pieces directed by his teacher, David Quiros.

The Ministry of Culture was established by Act No. 90 of 15 August 2019 as a leading entity with regard to the promotion and protection of cultural rights, cultural expressions, creative processes and Panamanian cultural heritage and to promoting intercultural dialogue and cultural cooperation, as well as all activities that promote sustainable development through culture and public policies of culture at national level.
