In honor of the Dances and Expressions of Corpus Christi, declared by the UNESCO as an Intangible Heritage of Humanity, after three years with face to face the National Crafts Fair, in its version 43 and that will give more than 400 artisans an opportunity to show and sell their handmade jobs.

The fair event, which will first be under the responsibility of the Ministry of Culture will be held at the Atlapa Convention Center, from 26 to 30 July and during the five days visitors will be able to observe and buy the products from different regions of the country and will also be able to enjoy the presentation of artists at a tima, with an average of 16 folk groups a day.

A Gastronomic Rincon with 19 consumer jobs and 6 food spaces have been scheduled with a variety of typical Panamanian sauces, such as changa, paddles, pawns, roasted pork, milk eggs, chichenes and chichenes, and two Afro-Spanish food jobs and a children's and other menu with the intention that they feel integrated into the activity.

The National Crafts Feria will have an educational pavilion with 11 workshops, where the public will have the experience to get to know the work of the artisan in the process for the production of cuttings and the "pineao" hat, among other crafts.

There will be international guests who will share their knowledge, carnival costume exhibitions, discussion tables, a Costumbist museum, drums and masks workshop, among other news.

The fair will feature a new stage, the Teatro La Huaca with presentations by the Network of Orchestra and Youth Cores of Panama and the National Ballet of Panama, as well as traditional competitions, such as: that of the Polleres de trabajos, in honor of Marina García, Artesan Highlights, Artesano Juvenil, a new contest of Camisillas in honor of Dona Edicta de Vásquez and an additional contest of Reina Artesanal.

The Minister of Culture, Giselle González Villarrué, expressed his recognition of the efforts of the MiCultura team that have been working many measures "so that this National Crafts Fair will be quite a success and that it's good to feel the support of national artists, artisans and allied institutions."

"We want to mark an earlier and later, leave a cultural mark within the production of the fair, add value and that same mark the start of a national fair with an international character."

For his part, Ernesto Orillać, representing the National Chamber of Tourism of Panama (CAMTUR) remarked that "we join MiCultura as a strategic partnership because we want to be part of this fair and integrate ourselves, to work together to benefit and place Panama as a great country."

That's why CAMTUR will give an award for "Distinguished Crafts," which will consist of accompanying the team to different fairs in Europe, the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean, so that they can promote their products to be seen at national and international level, "Orillac added.

Meanwhile, Esther Pérez, national director of MiCultura's crafts, added that as part of his activities to highlight the Feria, on July 26, his collection "muercolito" of the National Lottery will be held at ATLAPA and later at 6 a.m. his opening will be held at an event that will give his "San José Decor," as a tribute and recognition to his outstanding "Maestro Artesano," with an outstanding value in the field of technical and artisan teaching.

He also called for the artisan who have been selected to participate in this event to be attentive to the social networks of MiCultura and to have them come to the Regional level where they will be given the ticket to cancel at the National Bank of Panama the spaces assigned within ATLAPA.

The National Crafts Fair will have the following schedule: from Wednesday, July 26, from 3 to 10 at night, from 27 to 30 at 10 a.m. to 10 a.m. at night.

The costs will be as follows: every public B / .3.00 pat, retired B1.50, students B / .1.00 and under 12 years old, come free.
