< strong > They strengthen their commitment to achieve a status with a Transistmic Colonial Route < / strong >

To reaffirm the commitment to promote actions to achieve the global heritage convention exclusively to the issues of the route, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) several entities met to set up an inter-institutional body called "Committee for the Management of the Retirement that forms the Transistmic Colonial Route of Panama" and to reaffirm the responsibility to seek best projects that put into value the colonial roads and points that are detailed as part of the propose nomination of the Transistmic Colonial Route.

That committee for the management of the well-being that forms the TransEstados Civil Route of Panama will consist of the Ministry of President, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mi Ambiente, Tourism Authority, Municipality of Panama, Municipality of Colón, Municipality of Portobelo, Cadronate of Portobelo and San Lorenzo, Patronate of Old Panama and the Office of the Casco Antiguo, who will have among their tasks to advance the implementation and implementation of the management plans that they conduct each of their entities for the maintenance and their status as well as to preserve them.

Minister Giselle González Villarrué mentioned that "it's a great project, this is a historic moment, being united here shows the interest, that we want to see the growth of the country, and this meeting is a significant effort for our nation, because we have prepared a management plan, of management to UNESCO that we wish to have been accepted in its integrity and this intersectional exchange will be fundamental, because together we will build a legacy for all."

For his part, Linette Montenegro, Director of Cultural Heritage, emphasized the roles set out in the Memorandum of Understanding signed in December 2018 and established some roles for the signatories as to promote a state policy for the protection of cultural heritage and for the maintenance of the route.

Once the parts that make up this "management system" have been established, they will have to develop their proposals to feed this first management system management plan with the aim of monitoring all projects and that no state investment project puts the nomination at risk.

The members of the entities that met at the first session expressed their satisfaction to be part of this Roadmap that will place Panama as a cultural and tourist reference, while at the same time congratulating MiCultura for continuing this work that began since 2018.

The inter-institutional committee will be meeting every two months with the aim of advancing the proposal and achieving the UNESCO nomination of the Transistmic Colonial Route.
