Piazza V Centenario had a blue party to close the month of Autism

Closing the month of awareness of Autism, the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) with Ann Sullivan Center (CASSAN) held the second version of the Blue Culture Festival, an event that included a variety of cultural activations that filled with joy and family entertainment Plaza V Centenario, with the aim of offering teaching about this neurological condition.

Those who went to this open space of the Casco Antiguo that was dressed in blue have been able to enjoy a day that began with exhibitions of sculptures by the eco artist Romel Bravo, crafts, counselling jobs as with the Ministry of Social Development (Mides) and Social Security Fund (CSS) and participation by the embassies of Cuba and Brazil.

At the same time, at the stage they had fun with the zuba workshops by the well-known educator Yaritzel Morales, painting, dance, Tancúcua and musicotapia by teachers at the MiCultura Cultural Metropolitan Centre, thus starting the Section of Cultural Expression.

During the activity, there was a space for the public to get to know more about the autistic spectrum through the lectures: "Autism Spectrum: A Way of Possibilities" by Ana Elisa Villalaz and "Comprehensive care for educational needs in a world for all" by Alfonso Cruz of the Cuban Ministry of Education, who commented on his country's strategies to assist those diagnosed with an autistic spectrum disorder (TEA).

The festival's program followed with the participation of choreographer and dancer Nataly León with an Afro-Spanish dance, Eytem Miller and Angel Rodriguez with a congo dance, as well as the Typical MIDES Set (headquarters Colón), who demonstrated their skills with the piece "The May Palo."

The Cucarachita Mandinga was part of the puppet theater by the I Capaz Foundation and a fashion parade by María Gabriela Ureña & Friends with the support of the Costa American organization who gave a scholarship for a course to one of the disabled youth who became part of the model body.

Following with the artistic part, the special program of the Network of Orchestra and Youth Chors of Panama dazzled the public with its ensemble of bells and with its so-called "Reenamble We Are Panama" performing themes such as "Incy Wincy Araña," "La Bamba," "The Murga of Panama" among others.

Also, Randú Avila, Ana Elisa Miranda, David García, Gonzalo Horna, Luis Mario and Carlos Méndez were part of the gallery of artists who closed the show with the participation of Giselle González Villarrué and Gabriel González, Minister and Vice Minister of Culture, respectively, accompanied by Anibal Miranda, General Director of Cassan, who have been charged with light lights at Plaza V. Centenario.
