< strong > Panama recognizes the value of its historic sites and monuments < / strong >

A tour to recognize architectural elements at the facades of some cultural-meaningful buildings of Panama City and with nearly a hundred people's participation organized the Ministry of Culture as part of his activities to remember the "International Day of Sites and Monuments" held every April 18.
The initial crossing in the area of Bella Vista and representatives of the Panamanian Society of Engineers and Architects, National Police, the Modern Pty Group, tourist guides, the media and the public interested in knowing our buildings protected by the Local Plan of Territorial Management (PLOT) were present.
The architect Itzela Quiros, national deputy director of Cultural Heritage at MiCultura was charged with instructing those present about the data from the different points visited, such as that of the French Alliance, the first to appreciate, followed by the Chiqui Building and the Bella Vista School.
The shift was then for Calidonia's rectification, starting with the Government Building and then with the structure of the National Archives Building.
Other points visited at Calidonia included iconic buildings such as the current headquarters of Cuba and Spain's embassies, the Belisario Porra Parks and Francisco Arias paredes.
The date of 18 April to celebrate the International Day of Monuments and Sites was established since 1982 by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) with a view to visualizing the diversity of these locations.
The date also aims to highlight the global efforts of countries to preserve and promote them.
The Ministry of Culture recognizes the importance of monuments and sites and devotes extraordinary efforts to their restoration and value with the aim that they be also spaces for reflection that will allow for the inclusion, diversity and enjoyment of all people held Quiros.
