MiCultura PROMOTES INTEREST BY THE TEATRO

The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) developed a free training and recreational program for young and adult children to enjoy a range of performing arts activities.

Activities included presentation of children's puppets at KosKuna schools at Veracruz and Ullevas at Capira, workshops at Popular Theater of Collective Creation dictated by the well-known instructor and theater promoter, Danny Calden, who worked with young people at the Divital Gracia Home in Arraijan and older people from the Bethany Reg, the latter in partnership with the Civil Board of the sector.

A workshop was also held about "Stage Manager" and the importance of his role with his role in his stage and his display of musicals for non-professionals, both dictated by his choreographer Carlos Díaz and with his headquarters at the Balboa Theater.

According to the Minister of Culture, Giselle González Villarrué "our intention for this celebration is to promote theatrical activity for both professionals and the public by designing programs for all ages and by promoting it as an entertainment and as an educational tool and an opportunity to communicate, share or express social concerns that affect us."

Meanwhile, Danny Calden stated that for theater to continue strengthening we have to "consider the grassroots popular theater. Those ideas that are born, as they did with these youth or with older adults, give that person who writes for theater to be creative."
