< strong > MiCultura pays tribute to theatrics at World Theater Day < / strong >

In recognition of his extensive track and development of performing arts in Panama, the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura), at the occasion of World Theater Day, paid tribute to Daniel Gómez Nates, Neyra Soberón Torchia and Cloty Luna, three personalities who have helped to enhance this artistic discipline.

To celebrate this date, MiCultura has been preparing a program for children, youth and adults of all ages to have a range of training activities such as puppet presentation, collective theater, choreography for non-professional dancers and a tribute to theatrics, among others.

The event held at the Anita Villalaz Theater was attended by Minister Giselle González Villarrué, who emphasized that "our aim for this celebration is to promote theatrical activity for both professionals and the public, designing programs for all ages and promoting them as an entertainment and as an educational tool and an opportunity to communicate, share or express social concerns that affect us."

To open the artistic program of tribute to Gómez Nates, Soberón Torchia and Luna was introduced the Panamanian singer of Reggae / R & B, Kandall who emphasized through his music the great work of performing artists.

Also as part of this program, the youth of the Casa Divíctima Gracia de Arraijan, who by their interpretation obtained the public's congratulations and ovations, were presented on stage and was part of the popular collective creation theater workshop dictated by Danny Calden, a well-known instumer and theater promoter.

"We trust that every day more people will enjoy their art and recognize the cultural value of the theater to society, where all artistic expressions are combined: poetry, prose, music and dance, where everything intertwines and harmonizes to reach out to the public and captivate them," emphasized Gonzalez Villarrué.

The head of the Panamanian cultural portfolio in his speech also highlighted the activities that MiCultura currently conduct and that will end on March 29, with reference to the Puppet Children's Programme run at the schools of Highlights at Capira and Koskuna at Verácrruz, the Popular Theater Workshop for Collective Creation for Young and Older Persons, stage manager sessions and choreography for non-professionals.
