Under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) and under production by Tamayo Records, the National "Identity" Tour of Rómulo Castro and the Tuira Group (2022 and 2023) conduct a series of concerts that celebrate the cultural diversity that unites Panamanian people.
Each date of this tour will become an true community cultural fair, starting midday with the exhibition and sale of regional products and with the presentation of local artistic groupings.
"It's good for the Ministry of Culture to once again support this project that now comes with more force and especially with Tamayo Record to highlight the identity of the Panamanian people, that has allowed each of the presentations that have been made as part of this identity tour to be success," stated José Ismael Herrera, General Secretary of MiCultura.
That production was a sign of the strength of the singer Rómulo Castro to gather for 46 years stories filled with fervor and patriotism.
The musical and poetic proposal of the Tuira Group, particularly of Castro, is a tribute to beauty and an exaltation of human status.
The texts of the songs selected for this album, allow a changing look that forms part of the recovery of "la Quinta Frontera" in the 1970s.
The musical and poetic content of the songs aims to communicate esthetically encoded values and thus to stimulate listening sensitivities so that they do not forget what they are: beings that love, suffer, feel and fight.
The first concert of this cycle that will be free and open to the family, will be held on March 18 at Chame, and then continue to Veraguas, Guna Yala, David and Bocas del Toro, among other locations at national level.
Following every concert, MiCultura will offer a great cultural proposal with artisan paths, gastronomy, creative economy workshops, artistic performances and other attractions.
