THE NATIONAL SINFONIC TO FIRE CONCIERTS OF PRESTIGY DURING THE YEAR 2023

The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura), through the National Symphony Orchestra, will have as its program for this year the presence of outstanding Japanese violinist Hina Maeda and the "cantata" Carmina Burana, a modern work based on old documents.
Isabel Burgos, national director of The Arts of MiCultura explained that the young violinist Hina Maeda won the international violin contest Henryk Wieniawski that is the most important in the world and that developed in Poland.
Maeda's presence in Panama will be with the Polish embassy and will be held at the end of April at the National Theater where she will be accompanied by the OSN.
At the end of November, the OSN will join with the National Ballet and a chorus with more than 60 singers to introduce the "cantata" Carmina Burana performing work composed by Carl Orff between 1935 and 1936 based on a selection of medieval texts.
Burgos explained that for this year the OSN has a program of concerts at the Balboa Theater with at least four directors and two foreign soloists, but they have also been intended to give them the opportunity of Panamanian directors and soloists.
He also reported that end of this year, OSN is expected to move to modern installations in the City of Las Artes.
The piano concert will be held this year with his four hands by Luis and Margarita Trotsch, an event that will be held at the National Theater accompanying the OSN run by Master Jorge Ledezma Bradley and Assistant Director Ricardo Risco.
The OSN held about 35 concerts between November 2021 and October 2022, mainly at national and Balboa theatres with different public types, including students from different schools throughout the country. It's estimated that about 12,500 people have been able to enjoy these concerts.
At these 2022 presentations, the OSN accompanied soloists such as Leony Delgado, Erick De León, Dante Batista, Arturo Rey, Susan Samudo, Joshua Venegas, Miguel Araúz, Ariel González, Rezo Sánchez and David García in different instruments, among others.
The OSN also made presentations at communities such as Mayor Diaz, Villa Zaíta, Colón, Parish the Lord of The Miracles, at the National Shrine and Omar Park, among other scenarios.
In addition, seven training concerts were held for high school students with an estimated attendance of four thousand students.
