Mexican Actor Damian Alcázar offers training workshop for cultural managers

Promoting initiatives for the training of professionals in the area of cinema and audiovisual, the Minister of Culture, Giselle González Villarrué received at the establishments of the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) the renowned Mexican actor and director Damián Alcazar who is currently in our country with his diploma "La Mápcara Neutra."

Alcázar is considered to be one of the most important actors of the new Mexican cinema, for his participation in films such as "La ley de Herod" by Luis Estrada, "Chronicas" by Sebastian Cordero and "El crime del Padre Amaro" by Carlos Carrera, and through the International Film Diplomate with the support of MiCultura, for ten days will be training at an intensive workshop to several theater and film professionals.

"The issue is to leave a seed, there's a generation that needs to be formed, as well as to provoke the critical thought of the audience to support local cinema," emphasized Minister of Culture Giselle González Villarrué.

During the meeting, the best cultural authority thanked the actor for offering his knowledge and talent to Panamanian people, for accepting the challenge and leading participants to acquire new tools and a vision of how to work his or her mind and body at the theater.

On the other hand, Ana Patricia Angulo, a production and photographer of the International Film Diplomate, explained that she was born with the aim of training personnel with a vague knowledge of cinema or with no knowledge of cinema and that since 2012 many people have been trained as an integral part of the national industry.
