Four Panamanian projects have been selected by the IBERESCEN Intergovernmental Council (IIC), composed of the 17 countries members of the programme and where Panama is a party through the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura), for financial assistance offered at the 2022 / 2023 call.

The Gramo Danse Foundation with project I ~ tension, Jaime Newball with BOOM - A migration story and La Tribu Performance with Temporary Landscape (Temporary Landscape) were chosen as a co-production aid for performing performing arts.

While Prisma Dance Foundation with the Panama International Festival of Contemporary Dance, issue 12, was selected as an assistance line for the Programming of Festivals and Scenic Spaces.

In Panama about $50,000 will be distributed among the benefits awarded for the 2023 Retirement Fund.

Renan Fernández, Executive Assistant to the National Directorate of The Arts and representative of Panama for the program (REPPI) stated "that these aids are important because they have a prestige to the projects selected as an Ibero-American cooperation program."

Cultural transfer, exchange of technical ideas and artistic styles in performing arts as well as best practices developed at other latitudes help to raise the technical level and artistic quality of national performing art, added Fernández.
