CULTURAL ARTISTICAL EXPRESSION AGENDA FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG INDIVIDUAL

With workshops at Musicoterapia with participation of 40 children and adolescents with disabilities, the program of accessibility to culture organized by the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) and with the Panamanian Institute of Special Habilitation (IHE) was completed.
These workshops have been held at the Mary Arias Centre for Cerebral Paralysis of the IHE and have been part of the work programme of the MiCultura Office of Equal Opportunities.
The dynamic developed by the trainers Melanie Taylor, Blanca Choy and José Lisbey was to stimulate the senses of children and adolescents at the centre using musical instruments.
Amilith González, head of the IHE's Office of Equal Opportunities, highlighted the work that's been been been done with MiCultura and emphasized that it's very important as it integrates and provides accessibility to children and youth to get to know about the cultural spaces and accessibility that exist for them at these locations.
For his part, Leonisia from Becks, director of the cerebral palsy program described this program as an excellent program, as it completely stimulates all the senses of the participants.
