Documentary produced by SERTV collection of the escence of the 50-year National Ballet

The Anita Villalaz Theater at the Casco Antiguo was the stage for the projection of the pre-premiere of the documentary "Projection and Movement " in celebration of the 50 years of the National Ballet " produced by the state system of radio and television (SERTV) as a recognition The work and work of this artistic grouping as part of this celebration.

The ceremony was presided over by the Minister of Culture, Giselle González Villarrué with directors of both entities and representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to Panama.

In an effort where they were involved in different facets Catherine San Martín, Daniel Hurtado, Reina Rodriguez, Dayan García, Joel García and Nira Soberón, among others, a work was achieved that described every year of the ballet and to achieve this was initiated a long interviewing process "that served us to get to know how complex the classical ballet is, information that was framework to create a consistent argument line that reflected the physical and mental sacrifice of its members," stated Hurtado, who acted as his director.

He explained that with his work team they were 20 continuous filming days up to the opening day and "during that time we were able to capture his physical training routine at the National Theater that is characterized by his rigour and his essays of the work" Giselle, "that requires great interpretative capacity.

He argued that the team had an "opportunity to show a little about the lives and motivations of each figure of Panama's national ballet from directors, dancers, pianists and technical equipment."

The Minister of Culture, Giselle González Villarrué, emphasized the commitment and work shown by the state system of radio and television (SERTV) that with this production has been attested to for this and future generations, the history of our country's first dance company.

With this production, ministers González Villarrué continued "we wanted to share with them the heritage that since 1972 has been given by the National Ballet to Panama and our culture and to join this moment, to give them a look at 2022 projects and programs that we will continue to work for next year 2023.

He added that as an audiovisual production professional he believes "faithfully, that images help us to get closer, to make known, to motivate and join forces" and invited all to join will, work and support to continue to promote and bring Panamanian culture to the whole national and international community.
