They recognize Writers for their contributions to Spanish and American literature

In the framework of the National Meeting of Literature held by the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) and with the Central American Parliament, recognition was given to writers who have helped to enrich the history of Panamanian literature through their works and have also put up with the name of Panama.
Beatriz Cecilia Valdez, Enrique Jaramillo Levy, Javier Alvarado and in memory of physically missing writers such as: Carlos Alfredo Pérez, Guillermo Beleño, Justo Arroyo, Nidia García Arce, José de Jesús Martínez, José Ávila Castillo, Agustín Del Rosario, Eduardo Ritter AIslan, Desiderio Alberto Duarte, Raúl Alberto Leis, Juan Babot and Rosa María Britton.
Yessenia Sánchez, Director of the Office of Technical Cooperation, stated that for the Ministry of Culture, it's a privilege to bring our writers and their families together with the Central American Parliament and to recognize them in this well-deserved tribute to the letters for writers.
"What a pride that this year 2022, the 84th Spanish-American Solar Games competition was dedicated to our country and our writers!" Sánchez emphasized.
On the other hand, writer Javier Alvarado expressed his great satisfaction that MiCultura and the Central American Parliament give this tribute and recognition to Panamanian writers awarded at the Flemish and Pan American Games of Quetzaltenango.
"It's a centuries-old prize for Spanish languages and that also brings together a historic and time-bound share of Panama's literary history at this contest here are called the branches of novel, tale, poetry and theater," added Alvarado.
He was at the event Yessenia Sánchez, Director of the Office of Technical Cooperation and other authorities of the Ministry of Culture, Sandra Noriega Sierio, Vice President of the Central American Parliament and Jaqueline Muñoz, member of the Commission of Education and Deputies of the Central American Parliament.
The event was attended by ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the Republic of Panama, writers, Beatriz Cecilia Valdez, Enrique Jaramillo Levy and Javier Alvarado and familiares representing honored writers and press and communication.
The Spanish-American Solar Games are an annual literary contest of poetry, novel and tale, organized by the Permanent Commission of Spanish-American Solar Games and the Municipality of Quetzaltenango, Guatemala.
